Ceramist
When creating an object, I focus on composing a functional and beautiful item.
My intention is to create unique pieces that offer a sensory experience while being practical at home and embellishing our lives. I love working with colors as much as I enjoy the natural state of the element.
My work is in a constant state of evolution.
I have a nomadic heart.
I embrace change.
I have a passion for the creative process.
Everyday life and events are a constant source of inspiration.
I was born and raised in beautiful Quebec City, Canada and I travel the world for a while now. The studio is in my 100+ year old garage that I slowly customize for my creative needs.
My creative journey started at a very young age, my body being the raw material. Becoming a handstand contorsionist was my first dream. A long career as a professional circus artist followed. The call from ceramics came after the birth of my daughter as I felt my spirit’s urge to create and discover a different art form. It all began with a decision to join pottery lessons with a local professional artisan and haven’t stopped creating with clay since then. After realizing that I didn’t need a lot in order to create with clay, the garage quickly became my ceramic studio. Most days see me open my studio before the family wakes up as the morning spirit fuels my creativity. An organized schedule and a plan for the week is a must, however, creative bursts can happen anytime with usually great results!
I split my time between interior design and ceramic, embracing the creative process of both art forms.
Still enjoying the nomadic life style, I love spending as much time in the studio when I am home and I am delighted by the physical training and traveling that the circus arts demand.
These 3 art forms are a great fit for my creative soul.
